Squires Restaurant Squires – located in the White Hart hotel opposite Salisbury's iconic cathedral – is a traditional English eatery with a prestigious literary pedigree. Novelists Charles Dickens and Mark Twain have both dined here, and the restaurant is located inside the historic White Hart hotel which dates back to the seventeenth century. Squires serves everything from English breakfasts to carvery lunches and a full a la carte service in the evenings, and the dining room has a cosy atmosphere and is decorated with ochre-coloured walls, fresh flowers and crisp white tablecloths.
